Deerhound

Dixie the Deerhound. What a beautifully interesting breed-- one that emanates gentleness, composure and a strangely knowing eye. Whether waiting patiently in the wings, or sitting front-and-center of my lens, it was clear that Dixie’s 8 years had cultivated a calmness in her that you don’t often witness in younger pups. Independence too. Dixie mastered the art of playing fetch with herself by throwing her toys skyward and catching them mid-air.
